A few weeks ago, Kurt Yaeger, myself and a few other BMXers were asked to be part of Rudimental's music video for "Waiting All Night feat. Ella Eyre," which was inspired by the 2006 motorcycle accident that cost Yaeger his left leg below the knee. Over the next four days we got to ride some weird setups, hang out, not ride and pretend to ride, all as a modified retelling of Yaeger's injury and comeback story.
Yaeger -- a competitor in the 2010 X Games Adaptive Park event, where he landed his first post-amputation backflip on his bike -- is no stranger to the acting world. He got his start with a part in "Charlie Wilson's War" with Tom Hanks, though he's probably most recognizable from his recurring role as "Greg the Peg" in the popular FX TV show "Sons of Anarchy." (This may explain why the Rudimental music video has reached more than five million views in just one month on YouTube.) We thought it would be nice to show a bit of the behind-the-scenes process and the pieces that got left out of the five-minute finished edit.
