Houston Texans star left tackle Duane Brown is undergoing surgery Wednesday morning to repair a bone spur in his ankle.
The Texans described the surgery as "minor" on their official Twitter account.
Brown left the Texans' workout Monday due to his bothersome ankle. Texans coach Gary Kubiak indicated that the team expects the Pro Bowl tackle to return in time for training camp.
Brown, 27, started 15 games with Houston last season, his fifth in the NFL. The former first-round draft pick helped pave the way for a Texans rushing attack that ranked eighth in the NFL and earned his first career Pro Bowl selection.
