|Danny Fuhs has 16 career WSOP cashes for $715,879|
"A bracelet is every poker player's dream," he said to the WSOP. "This is old school. This is nice. I can't even explain my emotions right now. I am extremely happy."
This was Fuhs' third WSOP final table wish his best performance previously in the massive $1,000 buy-in event in 2010 where he finished fourth. This was his largest career tournament cash. He has four cashes on the World Poker Tour.
"It's every poker player's dream," Fuhs said of the win. "They are coming from all over the place to play. And now, the fields are bigger and tougher. At my age, it's tougher. Some of them might think we don't have a chance, but some of us older players have won bracelets this year, too. So, it's good. It's some pride for the old school."
Five-time winner Jeffrey Lisandro, two-time champ Viachelsav Zhukov and single bracelet winners Robert Mizrachi and Brian Hastings were looking to add to their collections, but Fuhs wouldn't be denied and capped off the win with a two-hour heads-up battle against Christopher George.
Other notable finishers include 2010 WSOP main event champion Jonathan Duhamel (10th), Event 13 champion Mike Matusow and Shawn Buchanan (13th).
