Street Gem runs away with Monmouth Park feature

OCEANPORT, N.J. -- Street Gem took command down the backstretch and drew clear late to win the $60,000 Revidere Stakes at Monmouth Park on Sunday, beating Coarsegold by 1 1/4 lengths.

Trained by Kathleen O'Connell and ridden by Daniel Coa, the 3-year-old filly ran the mile over a firm turf course in 1:43 1/5 and returned $12.40, $5.40 and $4.40. It was the fourth win in nine career starts for Street Gem, who has now earned $82,940.

Coarsegold paid $5.20 and $3.60, while Alydorable was placed third after Cat's Holiday was disqualified for interference with that rival in the stretch. Alydorable returned $4.40.
