Fast-rising light heavyweight contender Glover Teixeira will continue his quest for a title shot on Sept. 4 when he faces Ryan Bader in Minas Gerais, Brazil. UFC announced the fight Tuesday night.

Teixeira and Bader are slated to compete in the main event of a card that will air on Fox Sports 1. In the co-feature, middleweight Ronaldo Souza takes on Yushin Okami. Flyweights Jussier Formiga and Joseph Benavidez also meet on the main card.

Teixeira, a Minas Gerais native who is ranked sixth among light heavyweights by ESPN.com, has a professional record of 21-2. He is riding a 19-fight win streak.

In his most recent outing, Teixeira submitted James Te-Huna in the first round at UFC 160 on May 25. Teixeira is 4-0 in UFC competition.

Bader (15-3) rebounded from a second-round knockout in August 2012 to former UFC light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida with a first-round submission of Vladimir Matyushenko on Jan. 26. ESPN.com currently ranks the former "The Ultimate Fighter" Season 8 winner ninth among light heavyweights.

Souza (18-3) and Okami (29-7) are two of three fighters ranked in a tie for sixth among middleweights by ESPN.com. Luke Rockhold is the other.

In the flyweight division, Benavidez (18-3) is ranked second. Formiga (15-2) sits at No. 6.
