FC Dallas 99 Central scored a dominant 5-0 win over Grand FC Mustangs (Ill.) in the Silver Division semifinals of the Disney Cup International Youth Soccer Tournament on Friday.
FC Dallas 99 Central was focused and prepared for Friday's match after suffering its first loss of the tournament against Plant City on Wednesday.
All FC Dallas 99 Central needed was a tie or win against Plant City to advance to the playoffs, but FC Dallas fell short and barely made it to the playoffs with a four-way tie in its group.
FC Dallas came out strong and scored four goals in the first half Friday against Grand FC Mustangs.
The first goal was scored by FC Dallas' leading scorer Alejandro Zamarripa. Angel Ibarra followed with back-to-back goals to make it 3-0.
Just before the half was over, Jonathan Robert added another goal on a very nice assist by Adriel to make it 4-0 at halftime.
FC Dallas continued to attack Grand FC Mustangs in the second half with plenty of shots on goal. Zamarripa scored the lone goal of the half for the final score of 5-0.
FC Dallas' next game is Saturday at 8 a.m. CST against Chivas SC Houston 99 for the Silver Division championship.
