MONTEREY, Calif. -- Spain's Marc Marquez won the U.S. Grand Prix on Sunday at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca to become the youngest rider in MotoGP history to win consecutive races.

The 20-year-old Repsol Honda Team rider held of Germany's Stefan Bradl by 2.2 seconds for his third victory of the year. Marquez also won in Austin, Texas, in April and last week in Germany.

Marquez leads the season standings after nine of 18 races, 16 points ahead of Spanish teammate Dani Pedrosa.

Italy's Valentino Rossi was third, followed by Spain's Alvaro Bautista and Pedrosa.
