For the past two years, X Games BMX Street and Park rider Dennis Enarson has suffered injuries which sidelined him from X Games competition. In 2011, Enarson suffered a broken femur which kept him out of competition. Earlier this year, at X Games Foz do Iguaçu, Enarson was able to compete and invited to ride BMX Park. Near the end of the finals, Enarson hung up an air in a bowl and was thrown to the flat bottom of the Park course.

He suffered a broken radius bone in his wrist, and was forced to withdraw from X Games Barcelona and Munich.

One week after returning home to San Diego, Calif., Enarson went in for surgery on his right wrist, which was stabilized with five screws and a plate. Enarson entered therapy to begin the healing process, and decided to wrap up the video project he was working on: an upcoming section in the "Markit Zero" video.

"Oh well, on to the next project," said Enarson. Slowly, through May and June, Enarson continued therapy on his wrist. Initially, he wanted to be back riding for X Games Munich, but the healing process took longer than expected. Enarson returned to riding BMX earlier this month, embarked on a Nike BMX trip to the U.K. with Nike teammates and Kriss Kyle and Jason Phelan, and expressed his excitement for returning to riding.

"After over a year with injury after injury, I'm more excited than ever to get healthy and back to shredding the streets, parks, and trails," said Enarson.

In the above video, Enarson's days as a sponsored amateur on the Volume Bikes and Demolition Parts teams are discussed by Volume/Demolition owner Brian Castillo. Castillo was among one of the first BMXers to expose Enarson's talents to the greater BMX world, and they continue to work together through Demolition.

Dennis Enarson will make his return to X Games competition in BMX Street next month at X Games Los Angeles.
