Middleweight contender Constantinos Philippou will face Francis Carmont on Sept. 21 at UFC 165 in Toronto, promotion officials announced Tuesday.
Philippou, who is ranked 10th among middleweights by ESPN.com, has not fought since Dec. 29, when he knocked out Tim Boetsch in the third round at UFC 155. The loss was Boetsch's first at 185 pounds.
He was scheduled to take on Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza on May 18 in Brazil, but during a training session Philippou was cut above his left eye and withdrew from the fight.
Philippou has won five fights in a row, improving to 12-2 professionally. He is 5-1 in UFC competition.
Carmont, who was born in France, currently trains at Tristar Gym in Montreal. He is 21-7 overall, 5-0 in UFC.
