MIAMI -- Right fielder Justin Upton left the Atlanta Braves' game against the Miami Marlins with a bruised right knee Tuesday, then said he doesn't expect to be out long.
"I'll come in Wednesday, and if I can run, I'm going to play," Upton said.
Upton fouled a ball off his knee in the fourth inning. He stayed in the game long enough to complete his plate appearance, but after drawing a walk, he came out for a pinch runner.
"It's annoying, stupid," he said. "You swing at bad pitches, and pay for it."
Upton leads the NL East-leading Braves with 24 homers and is batting .259.
