AFTER LA re-signed cornerstone Chris Paul to a five-year, $107 million deal, it cashed in its Eric Bledsoe trade chip for consummate 3-and-D role players Jared Dudley and J.J. Redick. Pair them with Paul, Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan -- a trio with an average plus/minus of 4.3 ppg last season -- and the Clips are a legit threat to win the West. Still, the gains of the Rockets and Grizzlies and the constancy of the Thunder and Spurs create a thin line between conference title and first-round casualty.
