FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White has been ruled out for a second consecutive game due to hamstring and knee injuries, coach Mike Smith said following Friday's practice.
White had his streak of 133 consecutive games snapped last week. With White again sidelined, NFC offensive player of the week Matt Ryan will again be without his top two receivers. Julio Jones underwent season-ending foot surgery Monday.
Harry Douglas will continue in his new role as the No. 1 receiver as the Falcons travel to Arizona for Sunday's matchup with the Cardinals.
Smith also ruled out running back Jason Snelling (ankle) and linebacker Stephen Nicholas (quad).
Meanwhile, running back Steven Jackson is expected to play for the first time since injuring his hamstring in Week 2. Smith said Jackson's status on the final injury report will be "probable,'' while left tackle Sam Baker will be "questionable'' coming off a knee injury.
