World-renowned dance music icon Tiësto and Grammy Award-winning band Phoenix will highlight a weekend featuring four of pop culture's hottest performers during X Games Aspen in January 2014, ESPN announced Wednesday.

Tiësto, a Dutch artist who performed at the opening ceremony of the 2004 Athens Olympics and was voted the greatest DJ of all time by Mixmag, will play the final show of the weekend Sunday, Jan. 26, in downtown Aspen's Wagner Park. His 5:15 p.m. set will follow a 4 p.m. set by five-time Grammy nominee Axwell, a prolific Swedish dance artist and DJ.

"I'm a huge sports fan so it's quite an honor to be a part of the X Games experience," Tiësto said in a news release. "Aspen provides such a unique setting for a DJ set and I can't wait to party on the slopes."

Phoenix
French band Phoenix has headlined major festivals around the United States the past few years, including Coachella and the Austin City Limits Music Festival. They will play Saturday evening at X Games Aspen.

The back-to-back Sunday sets will follow a Saturday, Jan. 25, doubleheader of the same schedule. First up on Saturday: Matt and Kim, a high-energy indie dance duo from Brooklyn, N.Y. After their set, Phoenix, an alternative rock band from Versailles, France, takes the stage. Phoenix won a Grammy for its album "Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix" and has headlined major music festivals from Coachella to Lollapalooza.

All four X Games Music Presents shows will benefit The V Foundation for Cancer Research. Fans can purchase general admission tickets to the shows for $30 or Premium Club tickets for $150. Premium Club tickets include heated platform viewing as well as food and drinks. (Click here for Phoenix/Matt & Kim tickets, or here for Tiësto/Axwell.)

2014 marks the second year of X Games MUSIC Presents, which in its debut year featured acts such as Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, 50 Cent, Zedd and AWOLNATION.

"The past year of X Games MUSIC events allowed thousands of fans to experience X Games as a lifestyle brand and we are very excited for the next installment, bringing Tiësto, Phoenix, Axwell and Matt and Kim to downtown Aspen," said Tim Reed, ESPN's senior director of content strategy.

In addition to live viewing opportunities, all shows will be streamed live on XGames.com.
