Winning the Monte Carlo Million Dollar Super Four Tournament in July was the highlight of super middleweight Edwin "La Bomba" Rodriguez's young career. Rodriguez stopped light heavyweight Denis Grachev in the first round and immediately set his mind on a meeting with super middleweight champion Andre Ward.
On Saturday, Rodriguez (24-0, 16 KOs) will get that chance to take the belt away from Ward at the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, Calif. (HBO, 10 p.m. ET/PT).
Ward (26-0, 14 KOs), who returns after 14 months of inactivity due to shoulder surgery, is considered one of the top two pound-for-pound fighters in the world and is the undisputed best super middleweight.
