Tiger rules the greens, wins again
Tiger Woods is back on top of his game! Woods walked away from The Players Championship Sawgrass with his fourth win of the season, marking the quickest Tiger has reached four wins in a season, and the 78th title of his career, only four shy of tying Sam Snead's record of 82. With the win, Woods became the sixth player to win more than one Players title, joining elite company in Hal Sutton, Fred Couples, Steve Elkington, Davis Love III and Jack Nicklaus, the only three-time winner.
For the first time in CSPR history, there are two winners in the top 5 named Henrik. Henrik Lundqvist solidified the No. 2 spot by capping off a remarkable first-round series with a shutout of the Capitals in Game 7. The other Henrik, Henrik Zetterberg, came in at No. 4 after coming alive in the final two games in the Red Wings' upset over the Ducks. Squeezed in between the two NHL players is a pair of ballers -- LeBron James and Marc Gasol, both of whom are showing how well-rounded their games are.

Tiger Woods Golf |

Tiger's game "It's getting better," according to him. Woods finished with a 2-under 70 to win The Players Championship for the second time in his career. Tiger has now won seven of his past 21 stroke-play PGA Tour events and is now 52-4 when holding at least a share of the lead heading into the final round. |

Henrik Lundqvist Rangers |
![]() |
Game 7s are supposed to be exciting, you know, action-packed. Well, not so much in the Capitals-Rangers game Henrik Lundqvist, with his cat-like reflexes, made sure of that. Anchored by the second of back-to-back shutouts by Lundqvist, the Rangers scored early and often, coasting to a 5-0 victory. Next up, a second-round matchup with the Bruins. |

LeBron James Heat |
![]() |
What else can you say about LeBron James? The man can do just about anything on the court. In three consecutive wins against the Bulls, James averaged 23.7 points, 6.7 rebounds and 8 assists. And let's not forget about what King James does on the other side of the ball, where for the fifth consecutive season, he was named to the first-team All-Defensive squad. |

Henrik Zetterberg Red Wings |
![]() |
With the series on the line, the Red Wings knew who they could count on to step up their captain, Henrik Zetterberg. The Wings center hadn't scored a goal in the first five playoffs games against the Ducks, but over the next two games, Zetterberg netted three goals and two assists as 7-seeded Detroit upset 2-seeded Anaheim in the first round. |

Marc Gasol Grizzlies |
![]() |
He's not living in the shadow of his big bother anymore. Marc Gasol is dominating the Thunder bigs inside the paint and not just on the defensive end, either. The Grizzlies' centerpiece is averaging a team-high 22.3 points, 8.3 rebounds and 3 blocks in the team's past three consecutive wins, wins that have given them a 3-1 lead over last season's Western Conference champions. |

Serena Williams Tennis |
![]() |
Serena Williams retained No. 1, and earned No. 50. Williams stayed atop the WTA rankings and won her 50th career title with a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Maria Sharapova at the Madrid Open. "It feels good I don't know how many more I can win," Serena said. If she keeps up this level of play, there's no doubt the victories will continue to pile up. |

Patrice Bergeron Bruins |
![]() |
"It was one of those crazy ones I've been part of," Bergeron said. And crazy it was. Led by Bergeron's two goals and assist, the Bruins overcame a 4-1 deficit in the final period to beat the Maple Leafs 5-4 in OT. With the victory, the B's became the first team in NHL history to win a Game 7 after being down three goals in the third. |

Chris Sale White Sox |
![]() |
The White Sox lefty capped off a remarkable week of Major League pitching performances by throwing his first career shutout against the Angels on Sunday. Sale struck out seven and gave up only one hit, a single to Mike Trout in the seventh inning. He's allowed just three total earned runs in his past three starts combined and has won his past four starts in a row. |

Klay Thompson Warriors |
![]() |
Half of Golden State's dynamic duo, Klay Thompson scored his first career double-double with 34 points and 14 rebounds in the Warriors' Game 2 win over the Spurs. Thompson joins Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant and Vince Carter as the only starting guards over the past 25 years to score that many points and haul in that many boards in a single playoff game. Not bad company to be in. |

Matt Kenseth NASCAR |
![]() |
Matt Kenseth took advantage of Kyle Busch's cut right rear tire, taking the lead with 13 laps left and going on to win the Southern 500 at Darlington on Saturday. This was Kenseth's first Cup Series win at the famed "Lady in Black" and second win in the past month. He now sits in third in the Sprint Cup Series rankings. |
Honorable mentions: Jarrett Jack (Warriors); Carmelo Anthony (Knicks); Paul George (Pacers); Jeff Gordon (NASCAR); Tomas Vokoun (Penguins)
