After dominating the Cross-Sport Power Rankings in 2011, Aaron Rodgers had been absent in 2012. That finally changed this week, when he rode a six-touchdown performance to a potentially season-changing win for the Packers, earning the top spot in this week's rankings.
Rodgers' return to form was enough to beat out skydiver Felix Baumgartner, who set a freefalling record and broke the sound barrier during his dive from space. Coming in third was Carlos Beltran, who kept the Cardinals from freefalling out of the playoffs with some timely hitting in the NLDS.
Beltran wasn't the only playoff hero making our top 10, with Yankees reserve Raul Ibanez and Tigers ace Justin Verlander rounding out the top five.
That's how our panel ranked them, but do you agree? Let your voice be heard in the comments, and if you impress the panel, you could be chosen as a guest ranker for next week.
