Dan Uggla 2B

Dan Uggla went 3-for-3 on Friday, belting two home runs and extending his hit streak to 32 games to give him the longest hit streak in Atlanta Braves history. Uggla took Carlos Zambrano yard on a 91 mph fastball and a 76 mph curveball, the first time Uggla went yard on curve and a fastball in the same game since May 2010.

2
Keegan Bradley Golfer

In the fourth round of the PGA Championship, which he later won Sunday, Bradley bounced back to birdie the 16th and the 17th holes after his triple-bogey 6 on the 15th. It was the only time in the tournament that Bradley shot under par on a hole after a hole when he shot a bogey or worse.

Justin Verlander P

Justin Verlander earned his major league-leading 17th victory of the season over Cleveland on Thursday. Verlander's changeup has been his most effective go-to pitch against the Indians, who missed on eight of their 11 swings against Verlander's change. That gives them an astounding total of 23 misses on 31 swings (74.2 percent) against Verlander's changeup this season.

4
Tim Lincecum P

Lincecum won both of his starts last week, allowing just one earned run in 14 2/3 innings of work. He was masterful in his seven-inning performance in Miami. The Marlins were 0-for-12 in at-bats ending with Lincecum's changeup and slider, including five strikeouts. Marlins hitters were 0-for-10 in at-bats when Lincecum was ahead in the count.
