Derrick Rose is the most exciting player to lace up his kicks in Chicago since Michael Jordan. And if you're looking for the former Mr. Basketball of Illinois to create an immediate impact on his hometown team, well, according to EA Sports, you're in luck as when this Rose blooms, the people in Chicago can breathe in the sweet smell of playoff basketball.

Behind the electrifying rookie, the Bulls improve by eight wins, but more importantly, they improve from the eleventh best record out East to the fourth seed and home-court advantage in the first-round of the playoffs where they eventually lose in a tough, seven-game series to the Cavs.

Interestingly enough, with Rose running the show, it opens up Kirk Hinrich to lead the team in scoring with 18.7 ppg. Rose averages 15.5 ppg, 2.5 rpg, and 7.8 assists while pushing the floor for a Chicago team that transforms into a much more wide-open offense under the first year point guard.

It also opens up more of an opportunity for the streaky Ben Gordon who comes off the bench to not only win the NBA's 6th Man of the Year award, he also ends up leading the team in both field goal and three-point shooting percentage.

Looks like Chicago is going to be feeling Derrick Rose's impact for years to come.
