Heat sign free agents Wallace and Woods

MIAMI -- Forward John Wallace and center Loren Woods signed free agent deals with the Miami Heat on Friday. No terms were released.

A six-year NBA veteran, Wallace spent last season in the Greek A1 League for Team Panionious. He averaged 24 points, 6.7 rebounds and 6.0 steals in 10 regular season games for the Greek club.

Wallace was a first-round pick by the New York Knicks in 1996 and has played for three different NBA clubs since 1997.

The 7-foot-1 Woods averaged 1.9 points and 2.2 rebounds in 98 career NBA games with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
