EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Backup shooting guard Lucious Harris re-signed with the New Jersey Nets.

Terms were not disclosed but the deal is reportedly worth $5 million over two years.

Harris, 32, averaged 7.8 points, 1.4 assists and 2.6 rebounds in six seasons with the Nets, shooting 43 percent from the field and 34 percent from 3-point range. He averaged a career-best 10.3 points last season, the first time in his 10 years in the NBA he averaged in double figures.

The downside to his season came in the NBA Finals against San Antonio when he shot 31 percent from the field. Harris averaged 7.8 points, 1.6 assists and 2.6 rebounds in 20 playoff games in helping the Nets win their second straight Eastern Conference title.

The Nets acquired Harris from Philadelphia in June 1999 as part of an eight-player trade. Dallas drafted Harris in the second round in 1993. He played three seasons with the Mavericks before being signed as a free agent by Philadelphia.
