Arkansas State prepares for Ole Miss
JONESBORO, Ark. -- Arkansas State football coach Steve Roberts said his team had a decent practice Tuesday despite a break for lightning.
The Indians are preparing for Saturday's game against Ole Miss.
"It was a pretty good day today," Roberts said. After the break for lightning, "We didn't come back out with the same intensity that we went in with, but we were able to get a lot of work done."
Arkansas State is coming off a 44-41 win over Louisiana-Monroe in Little Rock, while the Rebels posted a 20-17 road win over Florida.
"I think their running game is dramatically improved over last year's team," Roberts said. "Their offensive line is playing very well, very physical and very hard."
Plus, he said, quarterback Eli Manning is tough to defend.
Kickoff is 1 p.m. Saturday at Ole Miss.
