Nebraska-Kearney 42, Colorado Mines 21
GOLDEN, Colo. -- Pat Korth threw for 283 yards and two touchdowns, and Nebraska-Kearney racked up 618 yards of offense on the way to a 42-21 win Saturday over Colorado Mines.
Korth scored on a 1-yard run on the Lopers' opening drive, and Nebraska-Kearney (4-2, 3-1 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference) extended its lead to 21-0 by halftime after Richie Ross scored on an 8-yard pass from Korth and Mike Miller scored on a 3-yard run in the second quarter.
Mines (2-4, 0-3) made it 28-13 after quarterback Chad Friehauf ran 11 yards for a touchdown and Craig Van Horn scampered 26 yards, but the Orediggers could get no closer the rest of the game.
