Frontier Conference names players of week
BUTTE -- Montana Tech has two of the three Frontier Conference football players of the week, after the team rallied to a 32-24 win at Rocky Mountain College over the weekend.
The offensive player of the week was University of Montana-Western wide receiver Jake Larson. The sophomore caught nine passes for 121 yards, including a touchdown, in his team's 35-21 loss to Carroll College.
Larson is averaging 82.4 yards a game so far this year.
The defensive honors went to Montana Tech's Matt Stepan, a senior linebacker who recorded seven tackles and two sacks in his team's first conference win.
On special teams, Montana Tech's Dan Kleckner was chosen as the player of the week. The kicker made two field goals and was two of two on PATs.
