Guard Seubert will be out 7-8 months with broken leg
Seubert broke the tibia, fibula and ankle when Philadelphia Eagles defensive lineman N.D. Kalu fell on his leg in the first quarter of the Giants' 14-10 loss Sunday.
Seubert was scheduled for surgery on Monday at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. The operation had been planned for Sunday, but was delayed because the doctor the team wanted, Dr. David Helfet, was not available.
He will not be able to put weight on his leg for three months, coach Jim Fassel said, adding the injury is not career-threatening.
"I talked to him this afternoon," Fassel said. "He is in reasonably good spirits, but they are keeping him pretty much pain-free and sedated."
Seubert will be placed on injured reserve.
Rookie Jeff Roehl replaced Seubert, but Fassel would not say what he intends to do for Sunday's game against Minnesota.
