COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Gracie Gold is switching coaches to Frank Carroll, who helped Evan Lysacek win the gold medal at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics.

Gold lived in the Chicago area and trained with Alex Ouriashev, but they split in August. The current U.S. silver medalist who also won silver at the International Figure Skating Classic in Salt Lake City earlier this month, will next compete at the end of October at Skate Canada. She is also entered in the NHK Trophy in Japan later this fall.

Gold says she is "happy to be working with Frank Carroll, he's a wonderful coach. I'm grateful for this opportunity and I am looking forward to the future."

A member of the U.S. Figure Skating Hall of Fame, Carroll also has coached Michelle Kwan and Linda Fratianne to world titles. He currently coaches Lysacek and world silver medalist Denis Ten of Kazakhstan.
