EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- First Acquital took the lead in mid-stretch and drew off to beat Be My Candy by two lengths Saturday in the $30,000 allowance feature at the Meadowlands.
Trained by Jorge Navarro and ridden by Jose Espinoza, the 6-year-old mare ran a mile on the turf course in 1:38.89 and paid $17.40, $7.60 and $5.80 for her fourth win in 31 career starts.
Be My Candy returned $8.40 and $6.80, and Vibrant Worship paid $5.40 to show.
