FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- Arkansas' cross country team was ranked No. 1 in the nation in Tuesday's USCCCA poll, the first time in five years the Razorbacks have reached the top spot.

Arkansas, which won the team title last weekend at the Cowboy Jamboree in Stillwater, Okla., edged Wisconsin, which dropped to No. 2. Defending national champion Colorado remained at No. 3.

The Razorbacks have the week off before the Chile Pepper Invitational on Oct. 15 at the Razorback cross country course on Agri Park.

USCCCA stands for the U.S. Cross Country Coaches Association.
