77-Year-Old Returns to Roller Derby Rink

If you’re looking for further proof that Aaliyah was right, look no further than Jeanette Morris of Cardiff, Wales. The 77-year-old was reportedly a successful roller girl in the 1950s and was hoping for one more chance to lace up her skates. Her daughter Angela decided to help make her mom’s dreams come true and she reached out to local roller derby team, the Tiger Bay Brawlers. Fast forward a week and Morris was not only back in the rink skating with the team, but with her own Brawlers-issued nickname, “Big Jeanie.”
