Sarah Hendrickson is planning to be in Sochi next February when women's ski jumping debuts in the Winter Games.

The FIS Nordic World Ski Championships open Wednesday in Val di Fiemme, Italy, and teen Sarah Hendrickson will lead the way for the United States in ski jumping. Last weekend, she came from behind to finish third in a World Cup, and landing on the podium is nothing new for the 18-year-old from Salt Lake City. Hendrickson won the inaugural World Cup event in 2011-12 and claimed nine of the 13 titles. The U.S. team as a whole leads the Nations Cup race with 1,905 points.
