Pair of historic sidekicks?

Beatriz Recari, who won the Kia Classic in March and the Marathon Classic earlier this month, will tee off with Inbee Park at the Women's British Open.

Jodi Ewart Shadoff and Beatriz Recari could be a part of history this week at the Women’s British Open at the Old Course at St. Andrews. They'll definitely be in the spotlight. Ewart Shadoff and Recari will be paired with Inbee Park for the first two rounds this week as Park attempts to become the first player -- male or female -- to win four pro golf majors in a calendar year. Although neither of Park’s playing partners has won a major, both have experience to call upon. Ewart Shadoff, who is still seeking her first LPGA title, has a total of five top-10 finishes in her career. The 25-year-old from Britain finished tied for fourth at the U.S. Women’s Open and was paired with Park in the third round. Recari, a 26-year-old Spaniard, has three career titles. She won the LPGA's most recent event, the Marathon Classic, where Ewart Shadoff finished tied for third.
