Marion Bartoli won eight singles titles, including Wimbledon in 2013, and more than $11 million during her career.

Marion Bartoli, who celebrated her crowning tennis moment as a 28-year-old, celebrates her 29th birthday today. The Frenchwoman won Wimbledon in July in her 47th Grand Slam tournament, the most ever played by a woman before earning a championship. And she did it without dropping a set. Two months after claiming her lone Grand Slam title, Bartoli announced her retirement from the game. "That was probably the last little bit of something that was left inside me,” she said at the time.
