PRINCETON, N.J. -- Trinity College's streak of 13 national championships in men's squash is over after Princeton edged the Bantams for the title on Sunday.

Kelly Shannon won the decisive match, giving the Tigers a 5-4 victory and the Collegiate Squash Association title.

Trinity began its run of national championships in 1999. In fact, the Connecticut school had won 252 consecutive matches before a loss to Yale in January.

Trinity was the No. 1 seed in the tournament but couldn't hold off the second-seeded Tigers, who won the national championship for the first time since 1993.

In 2009, Trinity beat Princeton 5-4 for the national title in a match that took about six hours.
