Spirit pick Crystal Dunn in NWSL draft

The Washington Spirit on Friday selected University of North Carolina midfielder Crystal Dunn as the top pick in the National Women's Soccer League's draft.

Dunn, 21, earned eight caps for the United States women's team as a defensive player. She helped lead the U.S. team to the 2012 FIFA U-20 World Cup title in Japan, playing every minute of all six matches.
