Early attacks take their toll on peloton
The climbs of the 57-mile Crouch-Garden Valley stage took its toll on the peloton Sunday at the Exergy Tour here in Idaho. With an eight-mile ascent and five-mile climb thrown into the mix, the field crumbled early on, as the attacks began well before the mountains came into view.
In the end, Germany's Ina-Yoko Teutenberg (Specialized-Lululemon) sprinted to victory, while Canada's Leah Kirchmann (Optum/Kelly Benefits) took second and USA's Megan Guarnier (TIBCO-To The Top) was third....
