For Johanna Olson, every second counted

Two days before 33-year-old Johanna Olson lost her 15-year battle with brain cancer, her older sister, Marney, leaned over her hospice bed and whispered, "rabbit, rabbit, rabbit." It was a tradition, something the sisters had said to each other for luck on the first of each month for as long as they could remember.
