Women's soccer league lands TV deal

CHICAGO -- The new women's professional soccer league has landed a TV deal with Fox Sports.

Six regular-season matches will be shown in July, followed by two playoff matches and the championship on Aug. 31.

The National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) and Fox Sports Media Group announced the one-year deal on Thursday, five days after the start of the new eight-team league.
