"The Price is Right" has been a daytime television staple for decades.

In honor of "The Price is Right" host Drew Carey's 56th birthday today, we look back at some of our favorite athlete appearances on the legendary game show.

Natalie Gulbis

The LPGA fan favorite presented the ultimate golf lover's showcase -- a trip to the Women's British Open, a private round of golf with Gulbis herself during a trip to Las Vegas, and clubs and gear from TaylorMade and adidas -- during an episode in 2009. Gulbis does an admirable job with the cheesy lines written for her, but it's the end of this clip that you really need to see.

Charles Barkley

The basketball Hall of Famer-turned-beloved commentator appeared on the show in February of 2013 during "Celebrity Week." Asked to guess the price of items like a DVD copy of "Look Who's Talking Now" (in which he made a cameo) and the dress he donned in a commercial for Weight Watchers, Barkley was his trademark self as he provided honest and hilarious responses.

Nastia Liukin

The Olympic gold medalist did her best announcer impression as she helped present a gymnastics-themed showcase to an absolutely delighted contestant.

Sidney Crosby and Alex Ovechkin

The rival hockey superstars appeared via pre-filmed video to help display a trip to the 2011 Winter Classic in Pittsburgh during the Showcase Showdown. While they may have been too busy to attend the show, former player Jeremy Roenick was on hand in the studio to announce the traditional "IT'S A NEW CAR" portion of the showcase.

Misty May-Treanor

Before heading to London to win her third Olympic gold medal with partner Kerri Walsh Jennings in 2012, the beach volleyball star stopped by the show to help present a sporty showcase.
