Duke gets verbal from Sierra Calhoun

Sierra Calhoun, the No. 10 prospect in the espnW HoopGurlz Super 60 for the 2014 class, has given a verbal commitment to Duke.

Calhoun, a 6-foot-1 wing from Christ the King (New York) was also considering Connecticut – where her brother, Omar, plays on the men's team -- Notre Dame and Tennessee.

As a sophomore, Calhoun averaged 22 points, seven rebounds and 3.5 steals. During her junior season, she passed 1,000 career points and averaged 21.9 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.2 assists.

Calhoun joins Azura Stevens of North Carolina and Erin Mathias in the Blue Devils' 2014 class.
