The Goal Is ...

Aug. 30: Once a rehabilitation activity for injured soldiers from World War II, goalball has evolved into one of the most popular sports of the Paralympics. It is played by visually impaired athletes who use a ball with bells inside and wear "eyeshades," which balance out the varied degrees of vision amongst players.
