"The picture is from 1988, and we are in Lake Placid, which is oddly appropriate since it is now my second home. I have no recollection of the trip, as I was probably barely 2 years old, although I am pretty sure that podium still exists at the ski jumps. My mom has always instilled a sense of strength and individuality in us. She is constantly encouraging me to be my own person, to live with a free spirit and always love life. She was clearly showing me bronze is where it's at ... almost 26 years before I would be standing there on the Olympic podium!"
