Alex Morgan earned her gold medal in London. She scored three goals and led the Olympics with five assists. No goal was more important than her 123rd-minute header to win an epic 4-3 semifinal over Canada. It was the latest goal ever scored at the Olympics (mens or womens), and the U.S. went on to beat Japan for the gold.
