  • Minnesota-Duluth center Jack Connolly was in top form for 2011-12, finishing the season second in the nation in scoring with 20 goals and 40 assists in 41 games. His dominant performance on the ice earned him the 2012 Hobey Baker Award as the country's top college hockey player.
  • Anthony Davis
  • Kentucky's Anthony Davis led the Wildcats to the national title, and he did it in commanding fashion. The freshman forward finished the championship season averaging 14.3 points and 10.0 rebounds per game, winning both the Wooden and Naismith awards as Player of the Year as well as Most Outstanding Player honors at the NCAA tournament.
  • Robert Griffin III
  • Quarterback Robert Griffin III became the first Baylor player in history to win the coveted Heisman Trophy after a stellar season in which he completed 72.4 percent of his passes, throwing for 4,293 yards and 37 touchdowns. On the ground, he ran for 699 yards and 10 TDs.
  • Andrew Luck
  • During the 2011 season, quarterback Andrew Luck passed for 3,517 yards and 37 touchdowns with only 10 interceptions. His lethal air attack not only led Stanford to an 11-2 season record, but also helped make him the top overall pick in the 2012 NFL draft.
  • Mike Zunino
  • University of Florida catcher Mike Zunino finished the 2012 season with a batting average of .322 along with 19 home runs and 67 RBIs. This impressive performance earned the Gator junior the Dick Howser Award, which goes to college baseball's best player.
