  • In the 2011-12 season, Miami's King James led the Heat to a 46-20 record, averaging 27.1 points per game and earning his third MVP award in the process. In the playoffs, James led all players in scoring, averaging 30.3 ppg on his way to his first NBA title.
  • Aaron Rodgers
  • In 2011, Aaron Rodgers led the Packers to a league-leading 15-1 regular-season record. The Green Bay quarterback ended the season throwing a career-best 4,643 yards for 45 touchdowns and just six interceptions. His accomplishments earned him his first NFL MVP award.
  • Justin Verlander
  • Tigers hurler Justin Verlander ended a stellar 2011 season with both AL MVP honors and the Cy Young Award. Verlander was first pitcher to win MVP since 1992 and is just the third AL pitcher since 1956 to have at least 24 wins and 250 strikeouts with an ERA of 2.50 or better.
