Updates/analysis (most recent first)

Eddie Lacy active (3:09 p.m. ET): The Green Bay Packers' official Twitter feed reports that RB Eddie Lacy (ankle, probable) is active. Lacy matches up extremely well against a Cowboys team that has allowed the most fantasy points to opposing running backs this season. He is our No. 6 option for Week 15.

Delanie Walker active (3:04 p.m. ET): The Tennessee Titans' official Twitter feed reports that TE Delanie Walker (concussion, probable) is active. Walker is healthy at a prime time; he is facing the league's most favorable matchup for a tight end. He is our No. 8 option for Week 15.

Justin Hunter inactive (3:01 p.m. ET): The Tennessee Titans' official Twitter feed reports that WR Justin Hunter (healthy scratch) is inactive. According to Jim Wyatt of the Nashville Tennesseean, Hunter is inactive because he violated team rules.

Tavon Austin inactive (3:01 p.m. ET): The St. Louis Rams' official Twitter feed reports that WR Tavon Austin (ankle, questionable) is inactive. This confirms our earlier report; Justin Veltung, promoted from the practice squad this week, is active but not a recommended fantasy pickup.

Rob Housler inactive (2:58 p.m. ET): Darren Urban of the Arizona Cardinals reports that TE Rob Housler (groin, doubtful) is inactive for the Arizona Cardinals. With Housler out, Jake Ballard and Jim Dray should see an uptick in targets. Neither is a recommended fantasy fill-in.

Andre Ellington active (2:58 p.m. ET): Darren Urban of the Arizona Cardinals reports that RB Andre Ellington (knee, probable) is active for the Arizona Cardinals. Ellington still has Rashard Mendenhall to cut into his carries, so consider him a flex play at best. He's our No. 32 running back for Week 15.

Carson Palmer active (2:58 p.m. ET): Darren Urban of the Arizona Cardinals reports that QB Carson Palmer (right elbow, questionable) is active for the Arizona Cardinals. Though he was limited during the practice week, Palmer was never at risk of sitting. The Titans' pass defense is a middling-to-below matchup for him, and he's our No. 18 quarterback accordingly.

Michael Floyd active (2:58 p.m. ET): Darren Urban of the Arizona Cardinals reports that WR Michael Floyd (ankle, questionable) is active for the Arizona Cardinals. He logged limited practices both Thursday and Friday, but is apparently good to go. Floyd is our No. 29 wide receiver for Week 15.

Antonio Cromartie active (2:53 p.m. ET): The New York Jets' official Twitter feed reports that CB Antonio Cromartie (hip, questionable) is active. Cromartie's active status makes things a little more challenging for Cam Newton and his receivers, but it's still a plus matchup for the group. After all, the Jets have afforded wide receivers the second-most fantasy points per game and quarterbacks the ninth-most in the past five weeks combined.

Dexter McCluster inactive (2:50 p.m. ET): The Kansas City Chiefs' official Twitter feed reports that WR Dexter McCluster (ankle, questionable) is inactive. He didn't travel with the team to Oakland, so his absence was inevitable.

Denarius Moore active (2:39 p.m. ET): The Oakland Raiders' official Twitter feed reports that WR Denarius Moore (shoulder, questionable) is active. He practiced on a limited basis all week and all signs hinted at this in advance. Moore's matchup, however, isn't that great. He is our No. 39 wide receiver for Week 15.

Rashad Jennings active (2:39 p.m. ET): The Oakland Raiders' official Twitter feed reports that RB Rashad Jennings (concussion, probable) is active. Jennings returns to the starting lineup this week, with Darren McFadden previously ruled out. Jennings is our No. 21 running back for Week 15.

DeAndre Hopkins active (12:04 p.m. ET): ESPN NFL Nation's Tania Ganguli reports that WR DeAndre Hopkins (ankle, questionable) is active for the Houston Texans. He's a hail-mary fantasy play considering how poor the Colts' secondary has performed; they have allowed the seventh-most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers this season. Hopkins was my No. 50 wide receiver for Week 15.

John Cyprien inactive (12:01 p.m. ET): The Jacksonville Jaguars' official Twitter feed reports that S John Cyprien (thigh, doubtful) is inactive. Cyprien has been one of the more productive backs in IDP leagues this season, so his is a tough loss.

Vincent Jackson active (11:58 a.m. ET): The Tampa Bay Buccaneers' official Twitter feed reports that WR Vincent Jackson (hamstring, probable) is active. Though he was limited throughout the practice week, Jackson has been cleared to play against a 49ers team that has allowed the seventh-fewest fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. He is our No. 11 option for Week 15.

Mario Manningham active (11:56 a.m. ET): The San Francisco 49ers' official Twitter feed reports that WR Mario Manningham (knee, questionable) is active. Michael Crabtree's healthy return, however, has pushed Manningham back down the depth chart. He's not a recommended fantasy option for Week 15.

Lamar Miller active (11:54 a.m. ET): The Miami Dolphins' official Twitter feed reports that RB Lamar Miller (concussion, probable) is active. He put a full practice week, so there are no lingering worries about his health. The concern, however, is that Daniel Thomas is back to cut into Miller's carries. Miller is our No. 30 running back for Week 15.

Reshad Jones active (11:54 a.m. ET): The Miami Dolphins' official Twitter feed reports that S Reshad Jones (groin, questionable) is active. Jones is Jim McCormick's No. 11 defensive back for Week 15.

Jordan Todman active (11:52 a.m. ET): The Jacksonville Jaguars' official Twitter feed reports that RB Jordan Todman (shoulder, probable) is active. He'll draw the start with Maurice Jones-Drew sidelined. Todman is our No. 28 running back for Week 15.

Danny Amendola active (11:51 a.m. ET): The New England Patriots' official Twitter feed reports that WR Danny Amendola (groin, probable) is active. There is a good chance that Amendola will see a few additional targets, especially in the red zone, with Rob Gronkowski sidelined for the remainder of 2013. Amendola is our No. 31 wide receiver for Week 15, mostly because he faces one of the worst matchups for a wide receiver.

LaVon Brazill inactive (11:49 a.m. ET): Mike Chappell of the Indianapolis Colts reports that WR LaVon Brazill (foot, questionable) is inactive for the Indianapolis Colts. He didn't practice all week, so this isn't entirely surprising. It does, however, clear up some of the uncertainty in the Colts' passing game, going up against one of the tougher pass defenses in the league. With Brazill out, Da'Rick Rogers should see a few more snaps and targets, making him an intriguing WR4. Rogers is our No. 44 wide receiver for Week 15.

Jay Cutler active (11:45 a.m. ET): The Chicago Bears' official Twitter feed reports that QB Jay Cutler (ankle, probable) is active. Cutler draws the start this week ahead of Josh McCown, who will serve as the backup. We're not as bullish on Cutler as we would've been on McCown; Cutler is our No. 10 quarterback for Week 15 (McCown was initially a couple spots higher). That is still a starter's ranking in most formats, however.

Robert Griffin III inactive (11:42 a.m. ET): ESPN Radio 980 in Washington, D.C. reports that QB Robert Griffin III (healthy scratch) is inactive for the Washington Redskins. This decision was made earlier in the week; QB Kirk Cousins will make the start for the Redskins. Cousins is our No. 18 quarterback for Week 15.

Sean Weatherspoon active (11:41 a.m. ET): The Atlanta Falcons' official Twitter feed reports that LB Sean Weatherspoon (shoulder, questionable) is active. Witherspoon has 18 tackles and two passes defensed the past four weeks combined, so he's only worth a look in deeper IDP leagues.

Garrett Graham inactive (11:39 a.m. ET): ESPN NFL Nation's Tania Ganguli reports that TE Garrett Graham (hamstring, questionable) is inactive for the Houston Texans. He missed the entire practice week, and this is one of his weaker matchups the remainder of 2013, so Graham's fantasy owners should've already made contingency plans for Week 15. With Graham out, Ryan Griffin will earn the start, though Griffin is not a recommended fantasy fill-in. Brad Smelley, freshly promoted from the practice squad, might play some snaps in a backup capacity.

Tony Gonzalez active (11:37 a.m. ET): The Atlanta Falcons' official Twitter feed reports that TE Tony Gonzalez (toe, questionable) is active. Gonzalez has played through questionable tags all year, and the Falcons' passing game has been much more effective of late than in the season's early weeks, improving his fantasy potential. He is our No. 3 tight end for Week 15.

Roddy White active (11:37 a.m. ET): The Atlanta Falcons' official Twitter feed reports that WR Roddy White (knee, questionable) is active. White is coming off two good games in which he totaled 21 fantasy points, and now he's going up against a mediocre Redskins pass defense. He is our No. 14 wide receiver for Week 15.

Adrian Peterson inactive (11:35 a.m. ET): The Minnesota Vikings' official Twitter feed reports that RB Adrian Peterson (groin, questionable) is inactive. Confirming Adam Schefter's earlier report, Peterson and Toby Gerhart are out. Matt Asiata and Joe Banyard will handle running-back duties for the Vikings this week.

Toby Gerhart inactive (11:35 a.m. ET): The Minnesota Vikings' official Twitter feed reports that RB Toby Gerhart (hamstring, questionable) is inactive. Confirming Sean Jensen's earlier report, Gerhart and Adrian Peterson are out. Matt Asiata and Joe Banyard will handle running-back duties for the Vikings this week.

Cecil Shorts inactive (11:33 a.m. ET): The Jacksonville Jaguars' official Twitter feed reports that WR Cecil Shorts (groin, questionable) is inactive. This confirms Adam Schefter's earlier report.

Maurice Jones-Drew inactive (11:33 a.m. ET): The Jacksonville Jaguars' official Twitter feed reports that RB Maurice Jones-Drew (hamstring, doubtful) is inactive. Jordan Todman's fantasy owners can breathe a sigh of relief; with Jones-Drew out, Todman becomes the Jaguars' starter for Week 15. Todman is our No. 28 running back for the week.

Nate Solder active (11:30 a.m. ET): The New England Patriots' official Twitter feed reports that T Nate Solder (concussion, questionable) is active. It's good news for the Patriots and especially Tom Brady, as he goes up against the defense allowing the fourth-fewest fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks.

Aaron Dobson inactive (11:28 a.m. ET): The New England Patriots' official Twitter feed reports that WR Aaron Dobson (foot, questionable) is inactive. Dobson did check in a Friday practice session, but was unable to go today. With him and Kenbrell Thompkins both sidelined, Josh Boyce should be the team's No. 3 wide receiver for Week 15, though he's not a recommended plug-in against a Dolphins defense weaker against the run than pass.

Kenbrell Thompkins inactive (11:28 a.m. ET): The New England Patriots' official Twitter feed reports that WR Kenbrell Thompkins (hip, questionable) is inactive. He was limited throughout the practice week, but Thompkins' inactive status is as much a sign of his diminishing depth-chart status as it is his health. He's not worth keeping on fantasy rosters.

Tavon Austin unlikely to play (11:20 a.m. ET): Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that WR Tavon Austin (ankle, questionable) is unlikely to play for the St. Louis Rams. Austin was wearing a walking boot as recently as Friday's practice, so this isn't a total surprise. He's a painful loss to fantasy owners in leagues that count return yards; as our No. 47 wide receiver for the week he's not as significant a loss to owners in ESPN standard as he is to the Rams offense.

Maurice Jones-Drew a true game-time decision (10:39 a.m. ET): ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that RB Maurice Jones-Drew (hamstring, doubtful) will test his injury during the pre-game to determine if he can suit up for the Jacksonville Jaguars. This makes Jones-Drew a true game-time decision, and it's actually bigger news for those owners who nabbed RB Jordan Todman as a potential fill-in, because Jones-Drew's doubtful tag probably had Todman's owners thinking he'd get starter's carries. Keep an eye out for those inactives in the next hour or so, as Todman's flex-play fantasy potential is tied to him being the starter and Jones-Drew a scratch.

Cecil Shorts will not play (10:35 a.m. ET): ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that WR Cecil Shorts (groin, questionable) is not expected to play for the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 15. He revealed on Friday that he will require preseason surgery for the injury, so Shorts' remainder of the 2013 is in some question. With Shorts sidelined, WRs Mike Brown and Ace Sanders will be the Jaguars' starters and go-to targets, with any WR3/4 potential for either tied to a hefty volume of targets on a team playing frequently from behind.

Adrian Peterson not expected to play (8:18 a.m. ET): ESPN's Adam Schefter, citing a tweet from K-TWIN Vikings Analyst Sean Jensen, reports that Minnesota Vikings players were informed on Saturday night that RB Adrian Peterson (groin, questionable) will not play in Week 15. Jensen also reported that RB Toby Gerhart (hamstring, questionable) is also not expected to play, leaving the Vikings trusting their rushing duties to third-stringer Matt Asiata and Joe Banyard, who is freshly signed off the practice squad. The specific carry split is unknown, but Asiata's experience makes him the better fantasy desperation play, if you're in such a spot. The smartest move in a fantasy-playoff week, however, is to look elsewhere for a plug-in.

Toby Gerhart not expected to play (8:18 a.m. ET): K-TWIN Vikings Analyst Sean Jensen reports that RB Toby Gerhart (hamstring, questionable) is not expected to play for the Minnesota Vikings in Week 15. This goes hand-in-hand with the above report, also by Jensen but retweeted by ESPN's Adam Schefter. Fantasy owners need make a contingency plan in the likelihood that Matt Asiata and Joe Banyard are the Vikings' top two active running backs, as expected.
