Updates/analysis (most recent first)

Peyton Manning active (7:07 p.m. ET): The Denver Broncos' official Twitter feed reports that QB Peyton Manning (ankle, probable) is active. His Friday practice and subsequent "probable" listing made it clear Manning was going to play, despite the week-long chatter about his high ankle sprain. That's no injury to scoff at, and this is a challenging matchup, so there's more downside evident in this game than you'd usually expect from Manning. That said, he's still too talented a passer to doubt, especially if you've waited this long. He checked in second among quarterbacks in our Week 11 rankings.

Peyton Hillis inactive (3:21 p.m. ET): Pat Hanlon of the New York Giants reports that RB Peyton Hillis is inactive. Hillis is a healthy scratch, with Andre Brown and Brandon Jacobs the team's two healthy running backs for Week 11.

Eddie Royal active (3:12 p.m. ET): The San Diego Chargers' official Twitter feed reports that WR Eddie Royal (toe, questionable) is active. Royal has had his moments this season, but Week 11 isn't necessarily the time to expect another. The Dolphins' defense is far softer up front -- meaning attack it via the ground -- and Royal has been missing practices left and right in the past several weeks. He checks in only 53rd in our wide receiver rankings for Week 11.

Mario Manningham active (3:08 p.m. ET): The San Francisco 49ers' official Twitter feed reports that WR Mario Manningham (knee, questionable) is active. It's Manningham's second game of 2013, and it'll be interesting to see whether his performance picks up. The matchup dictates that he's more reserve than starter material in fantasy; he's our No. 52 wide receiver for Week 11.

Vernon Davis active (3:08 p.m. ET): The San Francisco 49ers' official Twitter feed reports that TE Vernon Davis (concussion, questionable) is active. Davis apparently suffered no pre-game issues, so he should be fine for his usual workload. He's facing a solid Saints pass defense, though, so don't expect huge numbers. Nevertheless, he's our No. 4 tight end for Week 11, on the back end of the elite tier.

Percy Harvin active (3:06 p.m. ET): The Seattle Seahawks' official Twitter feed reports that WR Percy Harvin (hip, probable) is active. It is unclear how much Harvin will be involved in his 2013 (and Seahawks) debut, but he does have the motivation of facing his former team in this contest. Even if the Seahawks limit his snaps, they might choose to use him in key spots against a soft Vikings secondary, to the point where his per-play upside is strong. Our No. 29 ranking of Harvin among wide receivers accounts this upside, the matchup as well as the risk of limited play.

Jerome Simpson benched (3:02 p.m. ET): The Minnesota Vikings' official Twitter feed reports that WR Jarius Wright will draw a start at wide receiver this week, in place of WR Jerome Simpson. According to Chip Scoggins of the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Simpson is being benched for an off-the-field issue. Couple this news with the Seahawks matchup and the only member of the Vikings passing game worth even a look today is WR Cordarrelle Patterson, who is drawing the other start.

Greg Jennings inactive (2:59 p.m. ET): The Minnesota Vikings' official Twitter feed reports that WR Greg Jennings (Achilles', probable) is inactive. Well, that was unexpected. Jennings was listed as probable despite being limited in Friday's practice, but his fantasy owners shouldn't have been that excited to use him this week facing the Seahawks anyway. With Jennings out, Cordarrelle Patterson and Jerome Simpson should earn the starts.

Brandon Jacobs active (2:56 p.m. ET): Pat Hanlon of the New York Giants reports that RB Brandon Jacobs (hamstring, questionable) is active. Though Jacobs is active, his fantasy stock has fallen due to his injury as well as the recent return of Andre Brown. Consider him only a change-of-pace/emergency fall-back in the Giants backfield, meaning not enough touches to be of relevance in our formats.

Jason Pierre-Paul active (2:56 p.m. ET): Pat Hanlon of the New York Giants reports that DE Jason Pierre-Paul (shoulder, questionable) is active. Pierre-Paul is Jim McCormick's No. 12 defensive lineman for Week 11.

Mike Wallace active (2:44 p.m. ET): The Miami Dolphins' official Twitter feed reports that WR Mike Wallace (hamstring, questionable) is active. He'll be facing a Chargers defense that has allowed the fourth-most fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers, so despite the Dolphins' O-line issues perhaps leading to a diminished target count, Wallace should find enough chances to warrant WR3 status. He's our No. 25 option for Week 11.

Daniel Thomas active (2:42 p.m. ET): The Miami Dolphins' official Twitter feed reports that RB Daniel Thomas (ankle, probable) is active. He'll serve as Lamar Miller's backup, and is our No. 44 running back for Week 11.

Mike Pouncey inactive (2:42 p.m. ET): The Miami Dolphins' official Twitter feed reports that C Mike Pouncey (illness, questionable) is inactive. The issue here is that the Dolphins are now without Pouncey and T Will Yeatman (IR, torn ACL), a major concern for the team that has allowed the second-most sacks (13) in the past four weeks combined. QB Ryan Tannehill should consider himself fortunate to have scored in double digits in fantasy points during each of those weeks, but at the same time, he has not topped 15 in any of those games. Don't be too quick to regard the Chargers, who have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks, a plus matchup for Tannehill.

Vernon Davis expected to play (12:05 p.m. ET): CSNBayArea.com's Matt Maiocco reports that TE Vernon Davis (concussion, questionable) is expected to play for the San Francisco 49ers. Per Maiocco, Davis passed his impact test, so he's eligible to play. So long as Davis remains symptom-free, he'll play. That's a game with a kickoff during the 4 p.m. ET hour, so passing along this news in advance as you make your lineup decisions.

Christian Ponder expected to start (12:03 p.m. ET): ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that QB Christian Ponder (left shoulder, probable) is expected to start for the Minnesota Vikings. Ponder is facing the Seahawks defense on the road, however, so this shouldn't be enticing news to fantasy owners. He's our No. 27 quarterback for Week 11.

Stephen Hill active (12:02 p.m. ET): The New York Jets' official Twitter feed reports that WR Stephen Hill (foot, probable) is active. Just to point something out here, Hill has faced the Bills twice in his career, and in those games: 8 catches on 10 targets, 197 receiving yards and 3 of his 4 career TDs, for a total of 36 fantasy points (he has 74 fantasy points total in his career). The Bills' defense has at times been susceptible to wideouts, and it's for these reasons I ranked him as a good hail-mary play; I ranked him 41st at the position, the only one of our rankers to have him in the top 50.

Ben Tate active (11:57 a.m. ET): The Houston Texans' official Twitter feed reports that RB Ben Tate (ribs, probable) is active. Tate continues to play through his rib injury, though he did tally 41 touches and 13 fantasy points total the past two weeks combined. The injury limitation keeps him locked into the RB2 class, but facing a favorable Raiders matchup -- Oakland has allowed 17.8 fantasy points to the position the past four weeks combined -- Tate is our No. 16 option for Week 11.

Jermaine Gresham active (11:54 a.m. ET): The Cincinnati Bengals' official Twitter feed reports that TE Jermaine Gresham (groin, probable) is active. After sitting out Week 10, Gresham put in a full practice week and now returns to the lineup. He's still splitting targets with Tyler Eifert, though, and is only our No. 19 tight end for Week 11.

Martellus Bennett active (11:53 a.m. ET): The Chicago Bears' official Twitter feed reports that TE Martellus Bennett (ankle, questionable) is active. He put in a full Friday practice, which made his questionable tag less disconcerting. Bennett is facing a Ravens defense that struggles at times against tight ends, and he checks in as our No. 10 option for Week 11.

Steve Johnson and Robert Woods inactive (11:50 a.m. ET): The Buffalo Bills' official Twitter feed reports that WRs Steve Johnson (groin, out) and Robert Woods (ankle, out) are inactive. With both wide receivers out, Marquise Goodwin and T.J. Graham should pick up the starts. However, with winds in Buffalo and the Jets defense on the other side, EJ Manuel and his receivers -- with the possible exception of TE Scott Chandler -- should be avoided in Week 11.

Darren McFadden inactive (11:49 a.m. ET): The Oakland Raiders' official Twitter feed reports that RB Darren McFadden (hamstring, out) is inactive. This was announced on Friday, but the note is relevant in fantasy because it cements Rashad Jennings as the Raiders' starter and a potential 20-plus-touch running back in a game where Matt McGloin will be under center. We ranked Jennings our No. 24 running back for Week 11.

Calvin Johnson active (11:47 a.m. ET): The Detroit Lions' official Twitter feed reports that WR Calvin Johnson (knee, probable) is active. Johnson is our No. 1 fantasy wideout for Week 11.

Ezekiel Ansah inactive (11:47 a.m. ET): The Detroit Lions' official Twitter feed reports that DE Ezekiel Ansah (ankle, questionable) is inactive. IDP owners, take note, as Ansah had been a useful lower-tier defensive lineman this season.

John Abraham active (11:42 a.m. ET): The Arizona Cardinals' official Twitter feed reports that LB John Abraham (hamstring, questionable) is active. Abraham is Jim McCormick's No. 20 defensive lineman for Week 11.

Daryl Smith active (11:41 a.m. ET): The Baltimore Ravens' official Twitter feed reports that LB Daryl Smith (thigh, questionable) is active. Smith is Jim McCormick's No. 12 linebacker for Week 11.

Michael Floyd active (11:40 a.m. ET): The Arizona Cardinals' official Twitter feed reports that WR Michael Floyd (shoulder, questionable) is active. He put in Thursday and Friday practices, which is encouraging leading into a favorable matchup against the Jaguars. Still, Floyd is No. 2 in the Cardinals' target pecking order, meaning he's WR3/4 at best. He's our No. 41 wide receiver for the week.

Terrelle Pryor inactive (11:39 a.m. ET): The Oakland Raiders' official Twitter feed reports that QB Terrelle Pryor (knee, questionable) is inactive. He was ruled out before Sunday, but the significance here is that Matt McGloin, the Raiders' rookie fill-in, is getting a chance to stake his claim to the starter's job. Pryor has been dealing with this knee problem for weeks now, and while his fantasy production has been fine in 2013, his passing prowess leaves a lot to be desired. Pryor's fantasy owners would be smart to track McGloin's Week 11 progress closely.

Kellen Winslow active (11:38 a.m. ET): The New York Jets' official Twitter feed reports that TE Kellen Winslow (knee, probable) is active. It's Winslow's first game back following a four-game suspension, though his limited practices add to concern about his involvement coming off a lengthy time off. Jeff Cumberland is also active, and should get the larger target total of the two. Winslow checks in 30th among tight ends in our rankings.

Santonio Holmes active (11:36 a.m. ET): The New York Jets' official Twitter feed reports that WR Santonio Holmes (foot, probable) is active. However, per ESPNNewYork.com's Jane McManus, Holmes will be on a snap count. "We're not going to put him out there for 80 snaps," said Jets coach Rex Ryan. "But does he look good to me? He absolutely looks good to me." Hmmm ... snap count, potential 20-25 mph winds ... this looks like a "sit" for Holmes, though we did initially rank him our No. 47 wide receiver for Week 11.

Marlon Brown inactive (11:35 a.m. ET): The Baltimore Ravens' official Twitter feed reports that WR Marlon Brown (knee, questionable) is inactive. He was a late addition to the injury report, and pre-game reports weren't positive. This is bad news for a Ravens team playing in 25-plus-mph winds, as WR Torrey Smith might now absorb more defensive attention in a game where vertical passing might be difficult. Temper your expectations somewhat on Smith, our No. 12 wide receiver for Week 11.

Haloti Ngata inactive (11:32 a.m. ET): The Baltimore Ravens' official Twitter feed reports that DT Haloti Ngata (knee, questionable) is inactive. Heads up, IDP owners, though Ngata's fantasy production this season has scarcely put him on owners' radar.

Jason Peters active (11:30 a.m. ET): The Philadelphia Eagles' official Twitter feed reports that T Jason Peters (quadriceps, questionable) is active. This is a plus for Nick Foles in his matchup against the Redskins; Peters was looking like a sure inactive for most of the week. If you would have anyway, Foles should now remain locked into your Week 11 lineup.

Michael Vick inactive (11:30 a.m. ET): The Philadelphia Eagles' official Twitter feed reports that QB Michael Vick (hamstring, questionable) is inactive. He's out ahead of the team's Week 12 bye, but there's a very real chance we won't see Vick in a starter's capacity the remainder of the season. Nick Foles' performance against the Redskins today might say a lot towards whether he retains the job for the final five games.

Harry Douglas active (11:30 a.m. ET): The Atlanta Falcons' official Twitter feed reports that WR Harry Douglas (knee, questionable) is active. He put in a limited practice Friday after sitting out Thursday's session, and the "questionable" tag might cast a hint of doubt upon his Week 11 prospects. But as Roddy White seems likely to draw more of CB Darrelle Revis in coverage, Douglas could be left open a fair share against a mediocre-at-best remainder of the Bucs' secondary. It's a big reason we have Douglas our No. 18 wide receiver for the week; he's especially attractive in PPR formats.

Roddy White active (11:30 a.m. ET): The Atlanta Falcons' official Twitter feed reports that WR Roddy White (shoulder, probable) is active. His injury isn't the concern; the matchup against CB Darrelle Revis is. White might struggle to find open space, and his injury has had an adverse impact upon his statistics all year. He's our No. 35 wide receiver for Week 11.

Jason Snelling inactive (11:30 a.m. ET): The Atlanta Falcons' official Twitter feed reports that RB Jason Snelling (knee, questionable) is inactive. He was ruled out on Saturday and is taking some time away from the team to deal with a personal matter. Snelling had only four touches in Week 10 after none a week earlier, while Steven Jackson had 28 touches and Jacquizz Rodgers 19 in those two games combined respectively. Expect minimal change to the Falcons' rushing attack, with Jackson handling the bulk of the rushing chores including short-yardage and goal-line work, and Rodgers playing primarily on passing downs.

Tony Gonzalez active (11:30 a.m. ET): The Atlanta Falcons' official Twitter feed reports that TE Tony Gonzalez (toe, questionable) is active. Gonzalez put in only a limited Friday practice this week, but he's a veteran player who probably doesn't require much practice time to into game shape. There's the potential here of a snap count or a less-than-peak performance, but he does have 20 targets the past three weeks combined and remains an important part of the offense. He's our No. 8 tight end for Week 11; that's outside the "elite" class but he's as good as any option after that group on reputation alone.
