Play ESPN Arcade's free online hit football game - Speed Back. The game that started it all. Avoid defenders, use special moves and get it in the end zone!

  • Avoid the defenders and get into the end zone without being tackled.
  • You start with three tries. Score three touchdowns to earn an extra try.
  • Use the up, left and right arrow keys to maneuver.
  • Press the A key to stiff arm an approaching defender or press the S key to use your spin move to avoid a tackle.
  • Grab the speed pick up for a burst of speed and remember you can only use the stiff arm and spin move once each per possession.

Please Note: There is a known bug with Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) and this game.

The game on this page should work properly for Windows 7 and IE8. However, if it does not please choose one of the following options to play the game bug-free.

Note, in order to submit a score properly you will need to keep your original browser window open.
