Clutch poll: Most clutch athlete

Editor's note: In its May 16 issue, ESPN The Magazine is looking at the concept of "clutch." Over the next five pages, you'll have a chance to vote for some of the top clutch athletes and performances of all time. Read the stories in ESPN The Magazine, vote online, then watch SportsCenter for a week of special features based on your votes. It all begins on the 11 p.m. ET SportsCenter on May 20 and then continues on the 6 p.m. ET SportsCenter from May 21-24.

Muhammad Ali
"The Greatest" was part of some of boxing's most memorable fights -- including three epics with Joe Frazier and the Rumble in the Jungle, in which he took the heavyweight title from George Foreman.

Reggie Jackson
He claimed to be the "straw that stirred the drink" when he played in New York with the Yankees. His three home runs against the Dodgers in 1978 are among the most replayed longballs in baseball history.

Michael Jordan
Six NBA titles in an eight-year run with the Chicago Bulls; the last was capped off by a memorable fall-away jumper.

Joe Montana
He was at his best in big games, be it the Super Bowl (he won four) or bowl games (remember the 1979 Cotton Bowl comeback?).

Jerry West
He was named Mr. Clutch, thanks to his heroics for the '60s and '70s Lakers. When the game was on the line, the ball was in West's hands.

Tiger Woods
He's 25 and already has six major titles, including four in a row. There's nobody in the game who would rather be standing over a 10-foot putt to win a tournament.
