Here are Tiger Woods' career numbers at the Buick Invitational, being played this week at Torrey Pines: Nine career starts, nine top-10s, four victories, $3,857,000 in earnings.

Those stats not eye-popping enough for you? Let's break 'em down in a more unorthodox way. If Tiger only played the Buick and no other events, he'd still have more career top-10s than nine-year tour veteran Kent Jones. He'd have more wins than Ryder Cup teammate Chris DiMarco. And he'd have earned more money than Hall of Famers Larry Nelson and Johnny Miller.

Woods must be licking his chops in anticipation of next year's U.S. Open. The guy simply cleans up at Torrey Pines, and when the year's second major comes to the South Course, you can bet he'll be the man to beat -- even more so than at most major championships.
