Man, that Butch Harmon is a miracle worker, huh? Well, for 14 holes, at least.

In his first tournament since officially declaring Harmon as swing coach, Phil Mickelson was a flawless 4 under with four birdies and 10 pars through 14 holes at TPC-Las Colinas ... then the wheels came off a bit, as he bogeyed three of the final four to finish at a respectable 1-under 69, good for T-21 through the first round of the Byron Nelson championship.

"We're trying to drive the ball better," said Mickelson, who hit nine of 14 fairways with an average driving distance of 290.5 yards on Thursday. "That's where we're going with it. I thought I had some good progress."
