SAN FRANCISCO -- Peter Hanson, who held the 54-hole lead at the Masters before shooting a 1-over 73 in the final round to finish in a tie for third and two shots out of the playoff, is having a tough time on the front nine at Olympic.

The 34-year-old Swede double-bogeyed the first hole. Then he had four straight bogeys. The only player having a worst time on the course in the morning is the 14-year-old Andy Zhang, who had six over-par scores before a par at the 6th and a birdie at the 7th.

Hanson had a top-five finish at the WGC-Cadillac Championship this year and he reached the quarterfinals at the Accenture Match Play.
